Lip contouring is an injection procedure using hyaluronic acid fillers aimed at shaping the lips, adding volume and correcting asymmetry. The technique restores lost turgor, gives the lips a natural or more expressive shape, emphasizes the contour and provides additional tissue hydration.
Anesthesia
Depending on individual sensitivity:
- Topical (lidocaine cream).
- Infiltration local anesthesia.
- Use of fillers with a built-in anesthetic.
Recovery period
- During the first 24–48 hours, swelling, mild tenderness and increased sensitivity are possible.
- On days 3–4 the swelling gradually subsides.
- The final result is assessed after 10–14 days.
